Updates
Star has settled in very well, and is very confident around the other ponies.  He loves eating Hay, and is quite bossy with the others when it’s feed time!   He is a real character, and knows what he wants!

He is still a little bit wary of people, but is getting more and more confident, and lets us stroke his nose whilst he eats his hay!  He has grown a really long fluffy coat to keep him warm throughout the winter.

Over Christmas and the New Year, we will be working with Star to get him used to wearing a headcollar and be led around.   As he is getting quite confident around people now, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Star is of course a Star!  Many people compare him to a donkey and one could say he is as stubborn!  He loves his food particularly the new hard feed, we usually put hay out first and most ponies are content to eat that until the buckets come out, not Star!  He and Trixie are normally stood by the gate watching and waiting!  He is extremely fluffy and it will be very interesting to see what he is like when he moults his winter coat.  You can do anything with Star, he will let you stroke him all over and really enjoys a good scratch under the mane and around his ears!

Star has happily been rehomed with his best friend Socks.  Star and Socks have a very special bond and we are pleased we could rehome them together.

In the year we had Star he turned from a petrified foal into a very brave and sometimes stubborn pony!  We had great fun with him and he has such a cheeky personality.  He always says hello and normally because he is after a scratch.  He also enjoyed his clicker training as it meant he got rewards!  He loves being groomed and having lots of attention and also seemed to have fun during his outing to Tiverton Show.  He couldn’t wait to get off the trailer and take in his new environment!  Nothing seems to phase him.  When we moved him to his new home he was the same and very keen to explore!

He has settled in to his new home near Okehampton very well where he and Socks share a field with two goats and a horse called Marco.  When he left us we could do anything with him, he was happy to be caught and have his headcollar taken on and off, be led around, be groomed, have his feet attended to for picking out and by the equine podiatrist.  He is a very confident and secure pony which is exactly how we want to see our ponies when we rehome them.
